Free Wedding Seating Chart Template
Sketch your room on the grid page, then fill one card per table — eight cards of ten seats are included, and you can print more. Do the seating chart after RSVPs close, starting with the couple's table and immediate family, then group guests by who they know.

How to make a seating chart
- Wait for RSVPs. Start once your RSVP deadline has passed — usually 3–4 weeks before the wedding.
- Draw the room. Mark the dance floor, stage, bar, exits and the couple's table on the grid.
- Seat VIPs first. Couple's table, parents, grandparents (close to the action, away from speakers).
- Group by circles. Seat friend groups and family branches together; mix where people share interests.
- Check and share. Send the final chart to the venue and caterer with meal choices by table.
Frequently asked questions
When should I do the wedding seating chart?
After your RSVP deadline, roughly 2–3 weeks before the wedding, so you are working with final numbers.
How many guests fit at a round wedding table?
Commonly 8–10 at a 60-inch round table; check with your venue for the exact sizes.
Do I need a seating chart?
For seated dinners, yes — it speeds up service and helps guests settle. For buffets or cocktail receptions it is optional.
