How to Track Wedding Payments Without Missing a Due Date

Deposits, balances and final payments — what to expect and when

Most wedding vendors split their fee into a deposit to book the date and one or more balance payments before the wedding. With ten or more vendors, that can mean twenty-plus due dates spread over a year. List every payment above with its due date, tick it off when it is paid, and add reminders to your calendar so nothing is missed — late balances can put your booking at risk.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are wedding vendor balances usually due?

Many vendors ask for the balance in the final weeks before the wedding, and some on the day. Your contract sets the exact date — enter it here as soon as you sign.

How do I keep track of wedding payments?

Keep one list of every payment with its amount and due date, sorted by date, and add calendar reminders. This tracker does both and shows totals paid and still to pay.

Should I pay wedding vendors by card?

Paying by credit card can give extra protection if a vendor fails to deliver, depending on your card and country — check your card terms and the vendor’s accepted payment methods.

What happens if I miss a wedding vendor payment?

Contracts often allow the vendor to cancel or charge late fees if a payment is missed. If you know a payment will be late, contact the vendor before the due date.

Where is my payment data stored?

In your own browser on this device. Export a CSV or add calendar reminders to keep a copy elsewhere.
